EXPLORING HISTORICAL CHINATOWN (Saturday 29 January 2022 - 8 AM)
Celebrate Chinese New Year 2022 by visiting Jakarta’s Chinatown.
This class is conducted offline.
In our second Walk & Sketch event, we’re whisking you away to the colorful, culturally rich Glodok district of Jakarta. Come and learn about the history of this bustling sector, while indulging in tea-tasting and other experiences.
Experience the nooks & crannies of Chinatown, and memorize your favorite spots and sights as we will be sketching them in an urban sketching style! We’ll provide simple tips on urban sketching, as well as any tools you’ll need to complete your artwork. At the end of our trip, try watercoloring your sketches as we wind down at Pantjoran Teahouse.
We will be meeting at Gedung Candra Naya at 8AM sharp! Don't forget to pack water to stay hydrated, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as we will be walking throughout the class.
